ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Fort Wayne Firefighters Museum is to preserve
and exhibit the artifacts and history of the Fort Wayne Fire service,
as well as teach and promote fire safety and prevention.

Who We Are

The Fort Wayne Firefighters Museum is a stand alone 501c3 not-for-profit entity that does not receive funding from the City of Fort Wayne or the Fort Wayne Fire Department. Donations to the Museum are tax deductible.

The Firefighters Museum's primary goal is to promote and preserve the history and artifacts of the Fort Wayne Fire Department and the Fire service in general. We have a large collection of fire apparatus, uniforms, fire gear, and tools used throughout the years. Our staff is also full of information about our history. A trip to our Museum is a great way to understand how far the Fire Service has come since its beginning.
